There's a squirrel running around outside and no one sees it but me. That shows you how hibernated-for-the-winter and off their normal forms these girls are. Any other time of year they would be on that squirrel like vultures, just hoping for a chance to catch some tail fluff. (comment by Cathy)

Bored, bored, bored. Cold, cold, cold. We're like a broken record this winter. No good snow. Lots of frigid temperatures. No good walkies.

The only good news is that the down comforter has returned to the "big bed" and that is Luci's absolute favorite nesting spot in the entire world. We won't see her again until Spring.

Cold out again. We're feeling pretty good though, especially after a day at "the spa" on Sunday. A nice long car ride to get there, a breakfast sandwich on the way. Lounging around the comfy furniture. No cats in sight. The way life should be. Supposed to snow tomorrow - that should cover up some of the nasty, packed-down icy ground topping outside.

Tess has had a lot to talk to the neighbors about the past few days.

Woof woof woof. Woof woof woof. Tess had a lot of news to tell the neighbor dogs this afternoon. Even though it's cold out she was on patrol.

Cori and Luci stayed in and warm.

Two walks this week, which were great. Now we're back in the deep freeze again. Will this winter never end?

Very quiet week. We've been tired. The big highlight was last Thursday when we went for a long walk on Scarborough Beach for New Year's Day. We haven't walked that far in months. Plus a big car ride to get there. It was pretty warm out. We didn't need our coats. Cori ran circles around Cathy. Tess got her feet wet in the ocean. Luci ignored all other dogs. Cori and Tess didn't. It was a great day. We've been sleeping ever since.

There's ice and snow in our yard, driveway and road now so walking isn't a good prospect. Cori has to pick her way through the yard. Very slippery in places; and crunchy.

We finished the turkey stew on our kibble yesterday. What are the prospects for good topping tonight? Not good, we fear.
